Dr. Joshua Sherman is proud to present ‘Charmers,’ a new web series of short musical films with original music, lyrics and choreography.
“I have always loved old movie musicals and classic Broadway. These ‘charmers’ are the perfect way to meld that classic style with web technology,” said Sherman. Episodes are free to watch at JoshuaShermanPresents.com.
Sherman, producer, co-director and designer, began his theatrical career as an archivist and designer. His mentors include Al Hirschfeld, Peter Harvey, Santo Loquasto, Willa Kim and Tony Walton. As part of Walton’s design team, Joshua worked on the TONY Award winning Broadway revival of ‘Annie Get Your Gun, with Bernadette Peters; Elaine May’s ‘Taller Than A Dwarf’ with Matthew Broderick and Parker Posey; Tommy Tune’s ‘Easter Parade’ with Sandy Duncan; Finian’s Rainbow; and many more. He is a voting member of the Recording Academy and graduate of Marymount Manhattan College and Stony Brook University Medical School and a practicing physician.
